The government has not given any credible reason why private fertility clinics, which offer more treatment and more flexibility than public institutions, will be banned from 1 July 2022 and why they will not be able to start new interventions from 30 September. Why is it good for the Fidesz regime if Hungarian couples struggling with childlessness are forced to wait on kilometre-long waiting lists or undergo expensive treatments abroad? How is it a good thing if fewer children are born in the future?
It is astonishing that Fidesz's pathological control mania has given birth to such an anti-family law! MSZP demands that the government does not destroy what works well! Withdraw the law banning private clinics, stop harming childless couples, stop forcing them onto long waiting lists and stop trying to control the most intimate part of two people's private affairs!
